Hanoi (VNA) – Two tourism products in Vietnam have won at the ASEAN Tourism Awards Japan 2019 – an annual ceremonyorganised by the ASEAN-Japan Centre.
The Vietnamese products are attractive tointernational holiday-makers because they introduce cultural identities across regionsin Vietnam through food and art performances. They are especially suitable foryoung explorers.
The tour “Discover Vietnam in Style with Vietnam Airlines’ Business Class” offerstourists the chance to experience a stylish and luxury getaway acrossVietnam over seven days. It appreciates Vietnam’sUNESCO World Heritage sites including Ha Long Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town, the MySon Sanctuary and the Complex of Hue Monuments. The ASEANTourism Awards Japan 2019 selected the 11 most attractive tours todestinations in ASEAN member nations out of 78 entries. These products were honoured in six categories: New Destination Award,Luxury Travel Award, Unique Tour Award, Sustainable Tour Award, Mekong Award, andJury’s Special Award./.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) held a seminar on the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City on September 7.
The 2019 ASEAN Tourism Forum, themed “ASEAN – The Power of One”, will take place in Ha Long city in the northern province of Quang Ninh from January 14-18, 2019, announced the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism on November 1.
Vietnam has won 15 ASEAN tourism awards at a ceremony held as part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), which wrapped up in Ha Long city, the northern port city of Quang Ninh, on January 18.
The number of visitors increased by 4.1% compared to the same period last year, while total tourism revenue surged by 48.8%, or nearly 88% of the year’s target.
