Vietnam, US hold 8th Naval Engagement Activity in Khanh Hoa

The US Navy’s littoral combat ship USS Coronado (LCS-4) and salvage ship USNS Salvor (ARS-52) anchored at Cam Ranh international seaport in the central province of Khanh Hoa to join the eighth Naval Engagement Activity (NEA) between the two countries’ navies.

– The US Navy’s littoral combat shipUSS Coronado (LCS-4) and salvage ship USNS Salvor (ARS-52) anchored at Cam Ranhinternational seaport in the central province of Khanh Hoa to join the eighth NavalEngagement Activity (NEA) between the two countries’ navies.

Accordingly, from July 5-10, along with cultural and sportactivities, the 8th NEA will focus on exchanging skills related tomilitary medicine, maritime security, search and rescue at sea, and theenforcement of a code of conduct for unexpected confronts at sea.

On the afternoon of July 5, in Nha Trang city, leaders ofthe provincial People’s Committee are expected to host a reception for seniorofficers of the US naval delegation.

This is the first time the NEA has been organised in KhanhHoa province since its inception in 2010.-VNA
