Vietnam treasures all-around ties with Laos: Party leader
Vietnam always treasures comprehensive cooperation and special solidarity with Laos and strongly supports Laos’ national construction and development, said Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Vientiane (VNA) – Vietnamalways treasures comprehensive cooperation and special solidarity with Laos andstrongly supports Laos’ national construction and development, said PartyGeneral Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
In a meeting in Vientiane on November24 with Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou, Trong spokehighly of the two legislatures’ important role as well as the outcomes ofcooperation between the two NAs and people-elected bodies.
He suggested the two legislatures andtheir committees further enhance the sharing of information and experience inlegislation, supervision and deciding on key country issues; and urgegovernments, ministries, localities and businesses to actualise signedagreements.
Yathotou, for her part, thanked theParty, State and people of Vietnam for building the Lao National Assembly’shouse in Vientiane as gift.
The two leaders shared view that thetwo NAs need to further share experience to improve their operation efficiencyand work closely together on external activities, especially at majorinternational forums.
On the occasion, they expressed theirdeep gratitude to the valuable and effective support that the two Parties,States, NAs and people have provided for each other during the past nationalliberation and the current nation-construction and development./.
