New Delhi (VNA) – Vietnam haseight UNESCO world heritages, intact historical sites and breathtaking beaches,said Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau at a promotion programme inMumbai on December 13.
Introducing Vietnamese tourism at the event,the diplomat said tourists can find Indian cultural features at local Indianrestaurants and at ancient Hindu temples in Ho Chi Minh City and My SonSanctuary in Hoi An.
Vietnam has adequate services to servervisitors’ demand for shopping, entertainment, cuisine exploration, honeymoonand conference participation, he said.
Chau took the occasion to invite Indian touroperators and travel agencies to join Vietnamese tourism promotion activitiesand expand their operation in Vietnam.
As part of the programme, the VietnamEmbassy delegation held meetings with leaders of localities and businesses todiscuss cooperation in culture, tourism and people-to-people exchange.
Earlier, the embassy held a similarprogramme in the capital New Delhi on December 4. These events were opportunitiesfor travel agencies to connect and boost tourism activities between Vietnam andIndia.
In 2018, tourist volume between the twocountries reached about 200,000 and is projected to increase in the comingyears.-VNA
