Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam are in Group B of the Asian Football Confederation(AFC) U20 Futsal Championship according to a draw held on March 30 in Bangkok,Thailand.
Thisis the first time a competition for young players is being held in Asia.
Vietnamare in the same group with Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Tajikistan and Japan.
Thereare 21 participants divided into four pots.
GroupA have six teams, while the rest have five each.
Teamswill compete in a round robin format and the two best ones will advance to thequarter-finals.
Thechampionship will be held on May 16-26 in Bangkok.-VNA
The ASEAN Women’s Football Championship 2017 will be delayed until late this year, according to a decision made at the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Council Meeting in Yangon, Myanmar on February 17.
