Vietnam to participate in Asian cycling event

Vietnam’s cycling team will participate at the Asian Cycling Championship 2015 which kicks off on February 10 in Thailand.

The 14-strong team includes male veterans Le Van Duan, Trinh Duc Tamand Nguyen Thanh Tam, and female veterans Nguyen Thi That, Nguyen ThuyDung and Phan Thi Lieu.

Among them, That won a silver medal at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, the Republic of Korea, last year.

More than 400 races from 41 different countries will compete from10pm until midnight in the four-day event which will finish on February7.

This year’s tournament will provide a chance for Vietnamand other Southeast Asian nations to prepare for the 28th SEA Gamesin Singapore in June.-VNA
