Teams will compete in a two-leg round robin format with the strongest advancing to the finals. Vietnam successfully secured a place in the finals of this cup in 2019 and 2023.
Coach Kim Sang-sik of Vietnam cut short his time off after helping his squad win Vietnam's third regional championship title and his first trophy with a national team early this month.
After spending few days with family in the Republic of Korea, Kim was back to Vietnam and attended several national league matches to check on his players' performance.
He said he wanted to make the most of his time and grab out at success as many times as possible with the Vietnamese team, not just leave it as a one off.
