Vietnam seeks stronger food processing partnership with RoK

Vietnamese ministry experts provided participants with detailedcontents of the country’s preferential policies on investment andpotential projects in the field.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister ofIndustry and Trade Do Thang Hai reiterated the Vietnamese Government’scommitments of creating all possible conditions for foreign investors,including those from the Republic of Korea (RoK) in the country.

The seminar is part of the activities of a Vietnamese delegation’s trade promotion tour to the RoK from June 25-28.

After the event, the Vietnamese guests will continue promotion activities in other localities across the RoK.

Bilateral trade between Vietnam and the RoK rocketed to 27.3 billion USD in 2013 from half a billion USD in 1992.

Lastyear, the RoK was the third largest trade partner of Vietnam, whileVietnam was the sixth biggest importer of Korean goods.

The RoK now is the second largest foreign investor in Vietnam with 3,827 projects totalling 31.2 billion USD.-VNA
