Vietnam sciences academy looks to tighten cooperation with Iran

During its stay, the delegation heldworking sessions with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and Director ofthe Centre for International Research and Education (CIRE) HadiSoleimanpour, Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi, Deputy Ministerof Science, Research and Technology Salar Amoli, and President of theAcademy of Sciences Reza Davari Ardakani, among others.

The delegation also delivered a speech at the CIRE’s School forInternational Relations and joined with the Institute for Political andInternational Studies (IPIS) in a seminar on Vietnam-Iran relations inthe contemporary world.

The two sides exchangedopinions on issues of mutual concern, with a focus on informationsharing on their respective domestic and international situations andmeasures to enhance cooperation between VASS and its Iranian partners.

Iranian officials emphasised their hopes tocollaborate with Vietnam in social science research and personneltraining and exchange.

The VASS delegation also visited several cultural and historical sites in the Iranian capital Tehran.-VNA
