Vietnam, Russia promote AI cooperation

Moscow (VNA) - The Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburgon April 28 organised a teleconference on cooperation between Vietnam andRussia in artificial intelligence (AI).

This is the first online conference between the twocountries in the field which is developing rapidly and holding both developmentpotential and challenges.

It received the support from the Vietnam Software & ITservices (VINASA), Russoft – an association of software developing companies inRussia, the Technological Sovereignty Exports Association, and the OverseasVietnamese Association in Russia.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations ofSt. Petersburg Vyacheslav Kalganov said that the theme of this teleconferenceis a topical issue because the current technology development makes the demandfor control and automation systems increase.

Experts and speakers exchanged views on the high technology situationsin the two countries as well as potential cooperative fields.

They highlighted priorities for cooperation between the twocountries in information technology and digital transformation and madeinteractive proposals in the AI field./.

PM calls for cooperation with Sweden in nuclear energy technolo♌gy

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
