Moscow (VNA) – Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam Nguyen HoaBinh discussed bilateral ties in judicial affairs with Chief Justice of theSupreme Court of Russia Yyacheslav Mikhailovich Lebedev at a working session inMoscow that took place during the former’s working visit to Russia from March28-31.
Binh saidthe two countries reaped encouraging results under signed agreements, includingregular exchange of all-level visits to share experience in legislation andcourt hearings.
He added that thanks to reference to Russia’s law and Russian experts’experience in judicial affairs, the Vietnamese National Assembly adopted andpromulgated a series of important codes that laid a foundation for Vietnam’sjudicial activities.
He requestedthat both countries should further promote cooperation at local level,specifically between Hanoi City People’s Court and Moscow provincial Court.
The guestsuggested Russia assists Vietnam in training lecturers for the JudicialAcademy, improve the capacity of court staff, and share experience in theroadmap to wage reform and build an electronic court system to ensureinformation safety.
Lebedev, forhis part, expressed readiness to share relevant information and pledged todirect units concerned to offer optimal support to the Vietnamese side.
During aworking session with the Judicial Department under the Supreme Court of Russia andthe Chief Justice of the Moscow provincial Court, the Vietnamese delegationdiscussed specific steps in the near future, especially in training of judicialstaff and cooperation between the Hanoi People’s Court and Moscow provincialCourt.
On March 31,the delegation visited the Vietnamese embassy in Moscow before wrapping uptheir Russia visit.-VNA
