Vietnam, RoK firms join hands in green technology development

Hanoi (VNA) – A memorandum ofunderstanding (MoU) on investment and scientific-technological cooperationbetween firms of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) was inked in Hanoi onFebruary 18.

The MoU was signed by the projectmanagement unit of the Vietnam Climate Innovation Centre (VCIC) under theMinistry of Science and Technology and the Vietnam-Korea Businessmen andInvestment Association (VKBIA).

It will help VCIC-backed firms whichoperate in green and environmentally-friendly technology development to connectwith partners from the RoK in regards to trade, services, investment andtechnology transfer.

The VKBIA will also help arrange thematictrade promotion conferences in the RoK, training programmes for start-ups andmeetings with investors and experts.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, VicePresident of the Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam (KorCham) Hong Sun saidthat the event marks a major milestone for the development of the RoK-Vietnamrelations.

He underlined that KorCham will sign acomprehensive cooperation agreement with the VKBIA to further promote thebilateral trade./.
