Vietnam regards Argentina as leading partner in Latin America
Vietnam always considers Argentina one of its leading partners in Latin America and wishes to enhance its comprehensive partnership with the country, especially in economy, trade and investment.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam always considers Argentina one of its leadingpartners in Latin America and wishes to enhance its comprehensive partnershipwith the country, especially in economy, trade and investment.
The statement was made by Hoang Binh Quan, member of the Communist Party ofVietnam (CPV) Central Committee and head of its Commission for External Relations,at a reception in Hanoi on July 30 for Argentinian Minister of Foreign Affairsand Worship Jorge Faurie.
The Vietnamese official spoke highly of developments in bilateralcollaboration, especially in economy, with two-way trade increasing nearlytenfold in a decade, from 316 million USD in 2007 to over 3 billion USD in2017.
He expressed his wish that both sides will make efforts to tap their potentialfor stronger relations, actively implement reached agreements and promote the efficiencyof existing cooperation mechanisms.
The two sides need to boost comprehensive cooperation in various spheres, focusingon exchanging delegations at all levels through all channels, he added.
Binh urged Argentina to support the enhancement of ties between the CPV andpolitical parties in the Latin American country and people-to-people exchange,considering it an important channel to bolster the bilateral relationship.
He suggested both sides continue supporting each other’s standpoints in the resolutionof territorial disputes through peaceful negotiations in line withinternational law.
For his part, Jorge Faurie, who is visiting Vietnam for the first time,stressed that the two nations should maintain trustful political ties via regularmeetings and visits, particularly by high-ranking leaders.
Effective economic cooperation is a driving force to bilateral relations, hesaid, noting great potential for the two countries’ cooperation and measures tofoster their trade and investment ties in the time to come.-VNA

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
The ministry has instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel, Iran, as well as those in neighbouring countries, to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in high-risk areas.
