Vietnam Red Cross Society presents aid to flood victims

The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRSC) Central Committee on October 30 sent emergency aid of nearly 2.6 billion VND (112,000 USD) in cash and kind to flood-hit households in the central provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai and south-central Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) Central Committee on October 30sent emergency aid of nearly 2.6 billion VND (112,000 USD) in cash and kind toflood-hit households in the central provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai andsouth-central Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.

The assistanceincluded 800 boxes of necessities, 500 home-repair tool kits, 800 boxes ofwater purifier, and 1 billion VND in cash.

On the same day,the VRCS Central Committee also mobilised two delegations to the localities.

The organisationpreviously delivered close to 5 billion in cash and kind to Ha Tinh, QuangBinh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien-Hue provinces, which have been devastatedby recent storms and floods./.
