Vietnam ranks second at Asian Chinese chess champs

Vietnam came in second with two silver and one bronze medals at the 18th Asian Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) Championships, which ended recently in Fujian province of China.

Vietnamese players includingLai Ly Huynh, Nguyen Hoang Lam, Huynh Linh, and Dang Cuu Tung Landefeated Macau to take the silver in the men’s team event.

The second silver was bagged by Nguyen Thi Phi Liem in the women’s individual category after she won six out of seven games.

Meanwhile, player Ha Van Tien brought home the bronze medal in the U18 men’s individual.

This year, Chinese players were champions in all the three categories.-VNA
