Vietnam ranks 6th among international students in US

There are 21,403 Vietnamese students in the US, giving the Southeast Asian nation the sixth largest source of international students in the country.

– There are21,403 Vietnamese students in the US, giving the Southeast Asian nation thesixth largest source of international students in the country.

In the 2015-2016 academic year, 67.2percent of Vietnamese students were enrolled in undergraduate courses whileanother 15.1 percent pursued graduate degrees, according to 2016 Open DoorsReport on International Educational Exchange.

About 7.8 percent take part inpractical training and 9.9 percent follow non-degree courses such as Englishlanguage or short-term ones in the US.

Vietnam currently has the biggestnumber of students in the US among ASEAN countries.
