Vietnam attaches great importance to its comprehensive relations withAfrican countries, including Morocco, Deputy Minister of Foreign AffairsNguyen Phuong Nga has said.
She made the remark during thethird Vietnam-Morocco Intergovernmental Commission Meeting and thefourth political consultation meeting between the two foreign ministriesin Rabat on December 9-10.
At the meetings, Deputy FM Ngalauded the developments in bilateral ties between Vietnam and Moroccoover past years and asked for further cooperation, particularly in thefields matching the two’s strengths.

For her part, MoroccanMinister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and CooperationMbarka Bouiada spoke highly of the achievements Vietnam has made duringthe country’s construction and development, while pressing theimportance of bilateral collaboration in the framework of theSouth-South cooperation.
The two sides discussed ways to boosttwo-way trade, creating conditions for the two countries’ key productsto enter each other’s market.
Vietnam can export coffee,pepper, aquaculture products, telephone and spare parts, footwear andgarment-textiles, while the African country is strong at fertiliser,computer and pharmaceutical products.
They agreed to push theimplementation of previously signed agreements and the signing of newdeals in investment, customs, experience sharing in sea and air portsecurity, transport, agro-aquaculture, construction andeducation-training.
On the occasion, the Moroccan government also recognised the full market economy of Vietnam.
During her visit, Nga met with First Vice President of Moroccan Houseof Representative Faouzi Ben Allal, and Minister of Housing and UrbanPolicy Mohammed Nabil Benabdallah.
As a member of the Vietnam’sdelegation to Morocco, Deputy Director General of Vietnam News Agency(VNA) Le Duy Truyen took the occasion to visit the headquarters ofMorocco’s News Agency MAP in Rabat.
At his meeting with MAPDirector General Khalil Hachimi Idrisi, Truyen and the host reviewed thecooperation between the two agencies over the past year, and agreed tostep up the implementation of their signed deals, especially inexchanges of news and photos, TV stories and reporters.
The MAPDirector General pledged support in training French language for VNAreporters and proposed signing an agreement to expand cooperationbetween the two agencies.-VNA
