Hanoi(VNA) – Vietnam sets out a plan to become one of the region’s most advancedcountries in satellite technology by producing LOTUSat-2 by 2022.

The plan wasrevealed at a conference to implement the Vietnam Space Centre project for2017-2022 held by the Vietnam National Satellite Centre under the VietnamAcademy of Science and Technology in Hanoi on March 23.

Since it waslaunched five years ago, the Vietnam Space Centre project has followed the set satellitedevelopment plans as well as researched and applied satellite technology in managingforest, agriculture and climate change impact assessment.

In the 2017-2022period, besides🌜 completing the planned projects, the centre will focus on studyingand developing space science and technology.-VNA

PM calls for cooperation with Sweden in nuclear energy technology༺♌

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
