Vietnam looks for Italian business partners

The workshopwas organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy , with theVietnamese business association in Italy (ASSOEVI) and the Confindustria(the Italian employers’ federation) of Emillia-Romagna region. Whendelivering his welcoming speech, Vietnam ’s Ambassador Dang KhanhThoai, gave an overview of Vietnam ’s socio-economic development andsaid the country continued to record a strong economic growth, despitethe global economic recession.
Ambassador Thoai talked about thecountry’s vast labour reserves and the incentives available to foreigninvestors and called on investors in Mondena to look in detail at thecurrent opportunities for investment in Vietnam . Trade Counsellor Tran Thanh Hai then provided information and statistics on the socio-economic situation in Vietnam .
ASSEOVIChairman Pham Van Hong, who is also a businessman in Mondena, said hehopes that his association will be able to facilitate commercial andcooperative links between both parties. Vice President ofConfidustria Emilia-Romagna , Sergio Sassi, said that the workshop hashelped investors in Mondena to get a better understanding of thebusiness environment and the opportunities for businesses in Vietnam . Hesaid he has visited Vietnam two years ago and the country has anenormous potential and a favourable investment climate.-VNA
