Vietnam lead at gymnastics qualifier

Vietnamese athletes took the lead in a number of categories on the opening day of qualifiers for the Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City on December 11.

Hanoi (VNA) 💯- Vietnamese athletes took the lead in a number of categories on the opening day of qualifiers for the Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City on December 11.

Duong Huynh Bao Khang placed top in the boys 12-14 year old category, while Tran Ha Vi took the lead in the girls' 12-14 year old event.
Gymnasts from 10 countries are participating at the fifth championships at Nguyen Du Gymnasium. Male and female participants are competing in individual, mixed pairs, triples and groups-of-five events that are divided into age groups of 12-14, 15-17 and over-18.
The skills of the over-18 competitors will also be tested in the aerobic dance and aerobic steps events. The championships is due to close on December 12.-VNA
