Hanoi (VNA) – The effectivecooperation between the Peace Committee of Vietnam and the Committee for Peaceand Solidarity of Laos have significantly contributed to the growth offriendship and partnership between the Party, State and people of the twocountries.
The opinion was shared by Uong Chu Luu, NA ViceChairman and President of the Peace Committee and Somphan Phengkhammy, Vice NA Chairmanand President of the Committee for Peace and Solidarity of Laos during theirtalks in Hanoi on August 22 as part of the latter’s ongoing visit.
The two sides expressed their delight at thesound traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperationbetween the two Parties, States and people in all fields.
They agreed to continue fostering their futurepartnership through specific activities, including delegation exchange, as wellas coordination and mutual support in people-to-people diplomacy activities,and sharing information and experience.
Leaders of the two committees also concurred toconsider the affiliation in organising some events to introduce culture andtourism of Vietnam in Laos and vice versa to educate the public, especiallyyoungsters, on the solidarity, and friendship between the two countries.
The Laos guests’ visit will last till August 23.-VNA
