Vietnam, Laos boost cooperation in TV broadcasting

The Technical Transmission and Broadcasting Centre and its former director Phan Truong Dinh along with other four leaders of Vietnam Television (VTV) have received the Friendship Order of the Lao Prime Minister.

The honour has been recently presented by Lao Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Bouangeun Saphouvong.

Addressing the award ceremony, the Lao deputy minister thanked theParty and government of Vietnam and the VTV for their effectivesupport to Lao television sector over past years.

The centre’s acting director Dang Hong Thu said the centre has built twobroadcasting stations in Laos and transmitted VTV1, VTV2 and VTV4,channels to the neighbouring country, serving Vietnamese people inLaos and northeastern Thailand./.
