Vietnamese military personnel has begun undertaking a United Nationspeacekeeping mission in the Central Africa Republic.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Major Vu Van Hiep and CaptainHoang Trung Kien were dispatched to join the mission on April 1, asmarked by a ceremony in Hanoi.
Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh attended the event.
General Vinh asked three men to show solidarity and determination andadhere to principles as they carry out their tasks.
On behalf of the group, Lieut. Col. Thanh pledged to representVietnam in a positive light during its process of integration anddevelopment in the eyes of international friends.-VNA
