Vietnam, Japan to jointly produce horror movie

Vietnam will for the first time cooperate with Japan to produce a horror movie about zombies, entitled Gameshow Tu Than (Game Show of Death), which is a remake of famous Japanese horror flick St. Zombie Girls’ High School.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) – Vietnam will for thefirst time cooperate with Japan to produce a horror movie about zombies,entitled Gameshow Tu Than (Game Show of Death), which is a remake of famous Japanese horrorflick St. Zombie Girls’ High School.

The film tells the story of four beautiful andfamous Vietnamese girls entering the final round of a Japanese gameshow with atop prize of 100,000 USD. They move together to a school in Tokyo, following atough training regime and strictly following the rules of the contest. As soonas they enter the school, they begin to encounter strange and mysteriousphenomenon.

Gameshow Tu Than is directed by famed Japanese director, Kazuhisa Yusa, who is knownas a master of visual effects. Some films showcasing his skills include Real Onigokko and Samurai Marathon. Besides working as adirector, he was also responsible for editorial work and special effectson St. Zombie Girls College, released in 2017.

Gameshow Tu Than is filmed in many popularJapanese locations, presenting viewers with a range of spectacular scenes. Thefilm, produced by Vietnam’s MBCS Film Studio and released by GalaxyStudio, gathers top young Vietnamese actors like Ngo Kien Huy, Hoang YenChibi, Thuy Anh and Katleen Phan Vo.
