Vietnam, Japan seek to enhance exchange of female leaders

Hanoi (VNA) – Exchanges of femalemembers between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Liberal DemocraticParty (LDP) of Japan will create a new channel of cooperation for theVietnam-Japan strategic p꧟artnership,𝐆 said Truong Thi Mai, Head of the CPVCentral Committee’s Commission on Mass Mobilisation, on July 11.

She made the statement while hosting areception for a delegation of LDP female members led by Tsuchiya Shinako, headof the Party’s Committee for the Development of Women. Mai voiced her delight towards the solidand comprehensive development of Vietnam and Japan in terms of political parties,governmental and parliamentary channels, along with people-to-people exchanges.She also highly valued the efforts of Tsuchiya and LDP female members topromote bilateral ties and the relations between the two Parties in particular. She suggested the two sides strengthen exchangeactivities, especially as the nations celebrate the 45th anniversary ofdiplomatic relations this year. Mai also extended sympathies to people in thewestern region of Japan who were severely affected by recent downpours andfloods. For her part, Tsuchiya said this is thefirst visit of a female delegation of the LDP to Vietnam. She expressed herhope to foster exchanges between the two countries’ female leaders in the timeto come. The LDP will continue its support andefforts to contribute to the bilateral relations in line with the Extensive StrategicPartnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia, she affirmed. -VNA
