Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam are in Group A of the 2017 ASEAN FootballFederation U15 girls’ football tournament, according the event’s draw.
Theteam will compete alongside Malaysia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. Meanwhile,Group B consists of Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia and Timor Leste.
Thetournament will be held in Laos in April or May next year.
Itaims to develop young footballers in the region and create a chance for playersto sharpen their skills for continental events.-VNA
Viietnam’s Quang Ninh Coal are in Group H of the Asian Football Confederation Cup 2017, according to the draw organised on December 13 in Selangor, Malaysia.
Myanmar’s Yan Naing Oo buried Vietnam’s hope to win the first match of the International U21 Football Tournament’s Group A with his goal during additional time in HCM City on December 18.
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.
