Vietnam – good example of successful nation: Argentinean Ambassador
Argentinean Ambassador Juan Carlos Valle Raleigh has given an interview to Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on the threshold of Vietnam’s Lunar New Year festival (Tet), describing the Southeast Asian country as a good example of a successful nation.

Hanoi (VNA) – Argentinean Ambassador Juan CarlosValle Raleigh has given an interview to Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on thethreshold of Vietnam’s Lunar New Year festival (Tet), describing the SoutheastAsian country as a good example of a successful nation.
He told VNA reporters that Vietnam has done wellin combining efforts, labour and a vision of the future with a modelprioritising economic development and social welfare for its people. That canbe seen in the sustainable development of the economy and the strides in suchfields as infrastructure, housing, health care, education, and people’s incomeand opportunities.
The country has also played an important part inthe region and the world, he noted, citing its role in building the newTrans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.
The diplomat expressed his delight at Vietnam’seconomy growing beyond expectations in 2017, along with rising trade and foreigndirect investment. The 30-percent rise in the number of foreign tourists lastyear also demonstrated the dynamism, steadiness, and development of Vietnam’seconomy.
Regarding Vietnam-Argentina relations, Raleighsaid over the nearly 45 years after establishing diplomatic ties in October1973, the countries have built a sustainable, long-term, and win-win friendshipevidenced by the close contact between their leaders via mutual high-levelvisits, the cooperation at multilateral forums, frequent government-to-governmentcooperation mechanisms, technical cooperation, cultural and sports exchanges,trade, and the investment potential of both markets.
He said in the New Year, he will continue makingefforts to foster the countries’ friendship.
The ambassador recalled that his first Tet in Vietnamafter taking office about one year ago gave him a unique experience when hewitnessed the joy and celebration of Vietnamese people. He said he is lookingforward to a Tet in the Mekong Delta this year.-VNA
Vietnam is one of the most important economics, trade and investment partner of Argentina, Vice President of Argentina Gabriela Michetti told Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai at a meeting in Buenos Aires on October 27.
