Tokyo (VNA) – Thousands of Vietnameseand Japanese visitors flocked to the opening ceremony of the 10th VietnamFestival in Tokyo, Japan, on June 10. The two-day event houses more than 120 pavilions,including food stalls. Visitors could taste Vietnamese traditionaldishes, buy handicraft products, and join an exhibition affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly)archipelagos.
Vietnamese Ambassador to JapanNguyen Quoc Cuong said he hopes the festival will contribute to strengtheningthe extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
