Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on July 17 asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to closely coordinate with the Thai side in investigation and citizen protection after the deaths of four Vietnamese nationals in a hotel in Bangkok.

The Cong ethnic group, who reside primarily in the Northwest region, particularly in the provinces of Lai Chau and Dien Bien, is one of the groups in Vietnam with a population of fewer than 10,000 people. They have retained many of their distinctive traditional cultural features and their eye-catching and uniquely patterned traditional outfits.
