Vietnam congratulates Indonesia on Independence Day

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister andForeign Minister Pham Binh Minh sent his congratulations to Indonesia’sMinister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi.
Vietnam and Indonesia established diplomaticties at the consular level on December 30, 1955, and upgraded it to theambassadorial level a decade later. In 2003, both sides signed a comprehensivepartnership agreement.
They agreed to elevate bilateral ties tostrategic partnership in September 2011, which was realised in June 2013. InOctober 2013, the two countries’ foreign ministers inked an action plan toimplement Vietnam-Indonesia strategic partnership for 2014-2018.-VNA
Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue held working sessionsin Jakarta on July 19 with the Indonesian Foreign Minister and Minister of Trade to seek ways to further expand the partnership between the two countries.
