Vietnam-China youth friendship meeting to begin this week

Hanoi (VNA) – The 24th Vietnam-China youth friendship meeting is set to be held in Vietnam from April 12 to 18, featuring a range of dynamic and meaningful activities aimed at strengthening ties, mutual understanding, and cooperation between the young generations of both nations.

This annual event is co-organised by Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China on a rotational basis. Each edition sees around 100 outstanding young delegates from the two sides participate in cultural exchanges, dialogues, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

This year’s programme will take place in Hanoi and the northern provinces of Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh. There will be a Vietnam-China youth forum, workshops on youth theoretical work, development of youth unions, digital transformation, young intellectuals, and youth engagement in technological start-ups and innovation.

Delegates will visit and engage with various institutions, youth organisations, and historical landmarks, offering them insights into Vietnam’s cultural and historical heritage.

ꦫ According to the organisers, the event coincides with the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – 2025) as well as a state visit by General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping on April 14-15./.
