Vietnam, China secure 19 cooperation deals

Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam NguyenPhu Trong and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) andPresident Xi Jinping witnessed the signing of 12 cooperation pacts and the exchangeof seven other documents in Hanoi on November 12.

The12 cooperation pacts consist of:

Amemorandum of understanding between the Vietnamese and Chinese governments onpromoting connection between the “Two Corridors, One Belt” framework and the “Beltand Road” Initiative.

Amemorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade andChina’s Ministry of Commerce on speeding up negotiation for a frameworkagreement on building border trade cooperation zones.

Amemorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade andChina’s Ministry of Commerce on the establishment of a working group fore-commerce cooperation.

Adocument between the Vietnamese and Chinese governments on studying the pre-feasibilityof a project on a development aid for the construction of two new traditionalmedical centres in Vietnam.

Amemorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Investment and Planning andChina’s Ministry of Commerce on human resources development.

Amemorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Investment and Planning andthe Chinese Ministry of Commerce on building a list of key cooperation projectsin the five-year Vietnam – China trade development planning for 2017 – 2021.

Amemorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade andChina’s National Development and Reform Commission on boosting cooperation inelectricity and renewable energy.

Amemorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourismand China’s Ministry of Culture on cultural industry.

Anaction plan between the Ministry of Health and China’s National Health andFamily Planning Commission on health collaboration for 2017 – 2020.

Amemorandum of understanding between the State Bank of Vietnam and China’sBanking Regulatory Commission on cooperation and exchange of banking inspectioninformation.

Acooperation agreement between the Ministry of Defence and China’s Ministry ofNational Defense on border patrol.

Meanwhile,the seven documents exchanged dealt withpersonnel training between the provincial party central committees of QuangNinh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang and the regional Party Committee of China’sGuangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; scientific exchanges between the VietnamAcademy of Social Sciences and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; cooperationin legal framework for the management of nuclear safety between the VietnamAgency For Radiation and Nuclear Safety and China’s National Nuclear SafetyAdministration; cooperation for 2017 – 2022 between the Vietnam NationalPolitical Publishing House and China Foreign Languages Publishing andDistribution Administration; press exchange and cooperation between the VietnamJournalists Association and All-China Journalists Association; principles toset up a chapter of the Agricultural Bank of China in Hanoi; and investment inthe construction of a tyre manufacturing factory.-VNA
