Soc Trang (VNA) – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Mekong Deltaprovince of Soc Trang’s Party Committee Huynh Van Sum on February 1 held a receptionfor a delegation from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces’ Military Zone 3 HighCommand who came to deliver Tet greetings to the local authorities and people.
Congratulating Cambodia’s achievements in the past years, Sum expressed hishope that the country will reap further success and bonds between the twocountries in general and between Soc Trang and the Cambodian Military Zone 3 HighCommand in particular will become more tightened.
He wished that the Cambodian Government will create favourable conditions forVietnamese nationals working and living in the country.
Meanwhile, Commander Yoeung Sokhon, who led the Cambodian delegation, informedthe host of Cambodia’s political and socio-economic situation in the past year andaffirmed that its achievements were attained thanks to support of Vietnamesepeople, including those from Soc Trang province.
He hoped that the friendship and solidarity between the two nations willfurther develop in the future.

The Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang will create favourable conditions for citizens of Vietnam and Cambodia to cross the border for visits during the upcoming traditional New Year (Tet) festival.
