The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will operate more flights from the country’ major cities to Kuala Lumpur on December 11 to serve football fans who want to travel to Malaysia to cheer on the Vietnamese national team in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup final.

Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will operatemore flights from the country’ major cities to Kuala Lumpur on December 11 toserve football fans who want to travel to Malaysia to cheer on the Vietnamesenational team in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup final.

The carrier will run an additional one ortwo flights for each route linking Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with theMalaysian capital.

Together with one normal flight for eachroute, Vietnam Airlines will provide a total of more than 1,100 seats onflights from Vietnam to Malaysia on this day.

The added flights, using Airbus A321 planes,are scheduled to depart from Vietnam in the morning and return in the eveningof the same day.

The carrier will work with several travelagents to devise travel packages on the day, which will include flight andmatch tickets, a tour guide and transport to the stadium.

Vietnam entered the finals of the ASEANFederation Football (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2018 after defeating the Philippines 2-1in the return leg of the semifinal, which took place at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadiumon December 6.

The squad beat the Philippines 2-1 in thefirst leg held in Bacolod city of the Philippines four days before.

The final first leg between Vietnam andMalaysia will take place in Kuala Lumpur on December 11, and the return legwill be held four days later at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium.-VNA
