Vietnam Airlines continues Pleiku flights for a week

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced to reopen incoming and outgoing flights to Pleiku city in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai during March 15 and March 22.
The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced to reopenincoming and outgoing flights to Pleiku city in the Central Highlandsprovince of Gia Lai during March 15 and March 22.

During theperiod, the airline conducts 38 flights using ATR 73 aircraft on theroute between Pleiku and Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Earlier, Vietnam Airlines announced the temporary suspension of flightsto and from Pleiku from March 15 to October 25 due to scheduledexpansion work on the Pleiku airport.

The Civil AviationAuthority of Vietnam (CAAV) began upgrades to the Pleiku Airport in theCentral Highlands province of Gia Lai on September 28, 2014. Accordingto the master plan, the airport’s runway, taxiway, hangers and otherfacilities will be upgraded and expanded to the west.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2015.-VNA
