Vietnam Airlines’ brand value up 34 percent year on year

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines was the eighth most valuable brand in Vietnam in 2018, according to a recent report of branded business valuation consultancy firm Brand Finance.

Hanoi (VNA) – National flag carrier VietnamAirlines was the eighth most valuable brand in Vietnam in 2018, according to arecent report of branded business valuation consultancy firm Brand Finance.

This position was up one place compared to the2017 rankings.

By January 1, 2019, the brand value of VietnamAirlines reached 416 million USD, up 34 percent year on year.

The firm said brand has played an increasing rolein its success, noting Brand Finance’s estimation that brand value accountedfor 8 percent of Vietnam Airlines’ total value in 2017, and this rate rose to10 percent last year.

In 2018, Vietnam Airlines was also honoured as anational brand of Vietnam by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and theNational Brand Council.

It was the only aviation company to win the title last year,and was the second time it had earned the honour.-VNA
