Speakingat a get-together with important partners of Vietnam Airlines in Hong Kong, CaoChinh Mien, Director of the Vietnam Airlines Branch in Hong Kong, highlightedthe branch’s remarkable achievements during 2016.
Vietnam Airlines transported over 260,000 passengersin 2016 on the route, up 5 percent against 2015, he revealed, adding that thenumber of business-class and regular customers saw a stable increase.
He attributed the results to the improvement of service quality and the effortsof the firm over recent time, saying that Vietnam Airlines affirmed itsposition as a dynamic and modern airline, which has good services and cansatisfy customers’ demand.
In 2016, the national flag carrier won the awards “Asia's Leading Airline (Economy Class)”and “Asia's Cultural Airline” atthe World Travel Awards.
In the context of the global economic downturn, Vietnam Airlines’ branch inHong Kong took many measures to promote its growth, upholding its strengths toserve customers not only in Hong Kong but also in surrounding markets.
The branch has planed to increase the number of flights on the routes from HongKong to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and open a new route connecting Hong Kong withVietnam’s central Da Nang city.
It will also pay attention to improving the service quality and promoting itsimages and services targeting high-income customers and entrepreneurs, Miensaid.
