Vietnam advance to AFF U23 Championship finals after beating Malaysia 4-1
Vietnam's U23 team secured a convincing 4-1 victory against U23 Malaysia on August 24, becoming the first team to advance to the finals of the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship.

Hanoi (VNA)🧸 - Vietnam's U23 team secured a convincing 4-1 victory againstU23 Malaysia on August 24, becoming the first team to advance to the finals ofthe 2023 AFF U23 Championship.
In theeighth minute, Minh Quang sprinted down the right flank beforedelivering a well-placed cross to Xuan Tien, who finished from close range toopen the scoring.
The two other goals werelater made by Quoc Viet and Xuan Tien before the first half ended.
In thesecond half, the opponents quickly managed to pull one back in the 49th minute with Muhammad Alif's header, making the score 3-1.
Showingresilient defense, towards the end of the second half, U23 Vietnam scored another goal to secure a convincing 4-1 victory.

Vietnam's U23 football team and their head coach Hoang Anh Tuan arrived in Bangkok on August 14 to prepare for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U23 Championship 2023 which will take place in Rayong province from August 17-26.
Vietnam's U23 football team got a good start following a 4-1 victory over their Lao rivals in their opening game of the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) Championship 2023 on August 20 in Thailand.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
