Ho Chi MinhCity (VNA) -  Vietjet will accompany the 2017 Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards, which was launched on July 10, as atransportation sponsor.

[Sixth Vietnam heritage photo contest launched]

This is the 6th edition of the awards in celebration of the 72nd anniversaryof President Ho Chi Minh signing the first decree to preserve the traditionaland nationalheritage (23/11/1945 - 23/11/2017).

Being withthe awards, Vietjet looks to introduce and bring Vietnamese traditional andcultural values tothe awards participants, visitors, the youth and international friends; enhance public awareness about the discovery of natural and cultural values to be preserved.
Theairline will alsooffer domestic and international tourists free air tickets along with interesting giftswhen they join the contestabout Vietnam heritage.

Besides thetraditional topics such as the nature (sceneries, sea resources, forestresources, soil resources,wild animals and plants and the environment..); physical culture (architecture, sculpture,painting, historical and cultural sites, antiques, national preciousobjects,..) non-physicalcultures (people’s livelihood, rituals, biography photos,..), the awards alsointroduce a new topic on the traditional market.

Thetop 100 works will be exhibited online and in three cities of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang andHanoi in late October 2017. Final result will be announced on Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

𒁃 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
