Vietjet among Forbes' top 50 listed Vietnamese firm

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company has been honoured as one of Vietnam’s 50 best listed companies in 2024 by Forbes Magazine.

Forbes’s rankings acknowledge firms with the best business and financial performances listed on the local stock exchanges, including large-, medium-, and small- companies.

Honoured firms this year were rated based on their audited business reports in 2023.

Well-known names in the list include Vinamilk, Petrolimex, Hoa Phat, and FPT.

Vietjet made it to the list with a revenue of 58.3 trillion VND (2.29 billion USD), up 45% year-on-year. The carrier contributed around 5.2 trillion VND to the state budget in the year.

It has made remarkable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, developed its domestic flight network, and focused on expanding international ones.
It safely operated more than 133,000 flights with 25.3 million passengers on board in 2023, a year-on-year surge of 183% in the number of passengers.

Besides, Vietjet has developed its safe, modern, and environmentally-friendly fleet, and stayed consistent with its Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) goals.

🍸 The company is also at the forefront of credit ratings, according to the Ministry of Finance, achieving a VnBBB- rating which is among the highest of Vietnamese enterprises.

Earlier, the carrier was listed in the Top 50 airlines for healthy financing and operations for two consecutive years of 2018 and 2019 by Airfinance Journal, Top 50 leading Vietnamese brands, Top 10 enterprises with the best management capacity on the stock market, among others./.
