On January 11, the Vietnamese Tet Festival - Year of the Snake 2025 opened at bbpark, Bukit Bintang in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia and the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association, the event created the festive spirit of Tet with a lively marketplace and cultural performances.
From the village-style entrance decorated with bamboo and thatched roofs to the bustling two-story venue, the festival was a feast for the senses.
The first floor featured stalls selling Tet flowers, fruits, and spices, while the second floor offered Vietnamese delicacies like sugarcane juice, coffee, banh mi, and pho. The event drew crowds from the Vietnamese community and international visitors eager to experience Tet traditions.
Guests enjoyed music and dance performances celebrating spring and homeland, presented by the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association.
Running from January 9 to 12, the festival featured folk games, traditional cuisine, and product showcases, providing a home-away-from-home experience for Vietnamese expatriates.
