The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Council forthe Development of Cambodia (CDC), and the US Government, through the US Agencyfor International Development (USAID), signed the pact on June 25.
Per the agreement, 38 million USD will be earmarked forhealth and education programmes and approximately 18 million USD foragriculture and environment programmes.
CDC Vice-Chairman Chin Bun Sean said that bilateral development cooperation isan important pillar in promoting and strengthening the cooperation andpartnership between the two countries.
W. Patrick Murphy, US Ambassador to Cambodia, said the USGovernment is committed to continuing its support for the Cambodian peopletowards sustainable, inclusive, and equitable socio-economic development.
