Hanoi (VNA) – US President Donald Trump affirmed onMarch 1 that he still has “good relations” with DPRK leader Kim Jong Unalthough they ended their second summit in Hanoi, Vietnam, without anyagreement.

On his twitter account, he wrote: “Great to be back fromVietnam, an amazing place. We had very substantive negotiations with Kim JongUn - we know what they want and they know what we must have. Relationship verygood, let’s see what happens!”

The summit closedin Hanoi on February 28 without no deal. But, at the summit, the DPRKleader recommended the indefinite halt of nuclear and missile tests in exchangefor the reduction of economic sanctions from the US. This is considered apositive outcome of the summit, helping maintain détente on the KoreanPeninsula and the region.-VNA
