Vietnam and the USestablished diplomatic ties in 1995. The comprehensive partnershipestablished during State President Truong Tan Sang’s visit to the US inJuly 2013 has created a framework for reinforcing the two countries’affiliation in various fields, such as politics, the economy, security,maritime capacity, climate change response and environmental protection,education, and human rights.-VNA
