The event was co-organised on May 8 by theHo Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnam-Southeast Asia FriendshipAssociation and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia.
Atthe event, Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City’sUniversity of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), underscored thather universityhas cooperated with Indonesian universities to holdacademic and cultural exchanges to boost collaboration between Vietnamand Indonesia as well as among universities in the ASEAN UniversityNetwork (AUN).
She also noted that relevant organisations need toleverage their resources in the region while supporting each other toboost development.
Indonesian Consul General Jeans Anes said theAEC establishment by the end of this year will create both opportunitiesand challenges for its members and the education sector is noexception.
He said that the seminar aims to help universitiesfrom both countries deepen their understanding about one another andseize cooperation opportunities.-VNA
