Sixty-sixyears ago, the late President Ho Chi Minh selected Kim Binh commune, Chiem Hoadistrict to host the second National Party Congress, the first organised inVietnam and the only one held outside the capital city of Hanoi.
At the event,the congress made a range of major decisions, including the road map to a completevictory of the then revolution as well as the election of the Party CentralCommittee’s members, with Ho Chi Minh as president and Truong Chinh as generalsecretary.
In his speechat the ceremony, head of the Party CentralCommittee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh hailed socio-economic achievementsTuyen Quang has made recently.
He recommended theprovince pay heed to the conservation of local relic sites, making them aneffective tool to educate young generations on patriotism.
At the ceremony, Chinh alsopresented gifts to people who contributed to the revolution and social welfarebeneficiaries in Kim Binh commune.-VNA
