– The Trung Nguyen coffee group put into operation itsrepresentative office in Shanghai, China, on November 23.

At thedebuting ceremony, Richard Khoo Hye Koon, director of the internationalmarketing & business development of the company, said Shanghai’s strategiclocation and dynamic trade would connect Trung Nguyen coffee products to abroader Chinese market.

To capitaliseon the Chinese market, Trung Nguyen plans to open its first overseas productionfacility in the country, he unveiled, adding that the group aims at capturing 1.6billion USD from the market.

China’scoffee consumption grows an annual average of 20 percent, and its coffee marketvalue is expected to reach 600 billion CNY (91.2 billion USD) in 2020.

The openingof the office is also an activity to mark 14 years since Trung Nguyen’s G7coffee brand was launched. G7 products are available on China’s most populare-commerce platforms like Alibaba and Taobao as well as in 1,000 local supermarkets,he added.

Trung Nguyencoffee products have so far entered 60 markets worldwide.-VNA
