Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hosted a reception on October 11 for Professors Tran Thanh Van and Le Minh Ngoc – the founders of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) and a group of its scientists and researchers.

A gathering of former Vietnamese students at the National Institute of Applied Sciences Center Val de Loire (INSA Blois) who benefited from the Rencontres du Vietnam (Meeting Vietnam) - Vallet (RVN-Vallet) Scholarship was held in France’s Blois city on May 26.

A ceremony to present Odon Vallet scholarships to 193 outstanding students took place in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on September 1.

The French government has decided to bestow the “Legion of Honour” on a Vietnamese-French biologist for her contributions to France’s scientific development and her charitable activities.

Vallet scholarships were awarded to 549 outstanding students from universities, colleges and high schools across northern Vietnam at a ceremony on August 23.

As many as 60 scientists from 19 countries, including US Nobel laureate George Smoot, are gathering at an international physics conference which opened on August 17 in Binh Dinh province.
