Deputy Minister of Public Security Sen. Lieut. Gen Tran Quoc To paid a courtesy visit to Laos Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Security Gen. Vilay Lakhamphong in Vientiane on October 9.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To recently met with Jacqueline Maguire, Assistant Director of the Training Division at the US’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in Quantico, Virginia, with their discussion focusing on training and collaboration.

The public security force uncovered more than 3,000 corruption, economic and smuggling cases, with more than 4,900 individuals involved, in the first half of this year, heard a press conference held by the Ministry of Public Security in Hanoi on July 8.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision on May 22, assigning Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, to take the helm of the ministry.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented decisions on the promotion from the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General to Deputy Ministers of Public Security Tran Quoc To and Luong Tam Quang.
