Training course provides updated knowledge for CPVCC members

Hanoi (VNA) - General Secretary of the Communist Party of VietnamCentral Committee (CPVCC) Nguyen Phu Trong on August 14 attended and delivereda speech at the opening ceremony of a training course providing updatedknowledge for CPVCC members.
The event also saw the attendance of President Tran Dai Quang, Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, members ofthe CPVCC’s Political Bureau and Secretariat, and 94 CPVCC members who wereelected to the CPVCC for the first time.
Chairman of the CPVCC’sOrganisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh said the course aims to update the participantson the Party’s policies and guidelines as well as the State’s laws and policiesin the fields of Party building, socio-economic development, defence-security andforeign affairs.
It will also provide the participants with new knowledge, and theoretical andpractical issues, which will practically serve the leadership and direction ofthe CPVCC members, he added.

As scheduled, from August 14-18, the CPVCC members will hear nine reports presentedby senior leaders of the Party and the State, and Politburo members.
Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc will present a report related to the building of an upright, serviceable andaction-oriented government to promote the country’s socio-economicdevelopment in the current context.
Meanwhile, NAChairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will introduce issues regarding the building of a law-governed socialist State inthe new situation.
The participants also have a chance to get an insight into the renovation andrearrangement of the organizational structure of the political system, and the personneltraining and management in the new situation, which will be clarified by Chairmanof the CPVCC’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh.
Otherissues to be introduced during the course include the Party's ideological work;the promotion of the strength of the national unity, implementation of socialdemocracy and ensuring people's right to mastery; strategies on Fatherlandsafeguarding, national defence and security, military affairs and diplomacy; thecompletion of socialist-oriented market economic institutions; and the developmentof the State and private economic sectors.-VNA
